Savory Stuffed Peppers

Fill colorful pepper with savory beef, rice and tomatoes

Ingredients:

6 bell peppers

1 cup rice

2 cups water

1 onion, diced

1 lb ground beef

4 cups tomato sauce

salt and pepper to taste

 

Directions:

Heat oven to 350.

 

Slice off the pepper tops and remove seeds. Stand up in

a casserole dish.

Cook rice in the water until tender.

In a skillet saute the onion and beef. Season with salt

and pepper.

Combine rice, beef and 2 cups tomato sauce. Fill the

pepper. Pour rest of sauce around them in the pan.

Cover with foil. Bake 45 minutes. Bake uncovered for 30

more minutes.
